Look I have a problem with my alarm the day after thanksgiving I was walking out of Target and went to unlock my car and the siren made a crazy ass chipping sound and then my alarm would not work.  So, after my car was broken into 2 months later I decided to do something about it.  I thought maybe it was the transmitter so I took it apart and looked and it looked fine.  I check the anttena and it was plugged in so I was stummped.  Then I rememebered this happen once before and I called Viper and they told me that it was in Valet mode and the lady had me open one of the doors and hit some of the buttons and it worked again.  I tried it again after my car was broken into and I got it to work.  Well last night after I was working on my car I went to lock the car and it did that crazy chirp again and now my alarm don't work.  Could somebody please tell me what to do.  Which door to open and which buttons to press.  I don't have anything special on the alarm to trunk pop lock and unlock.  Thanks.

if its in valet mode, the led will be on constantly instead of flashing.  if that is the case.

1. open the drivers door

2. turn the key on then off

3. push the valet button(little black button usually under the dash or in the kick panel) once within 5 seconds of turning the key off in step 2.

if the led is not on constant, than thats not your problem.  to me it sounds like you could have a bad ground on the alarm.  if you installed it.  check the ground.  if you had a shop do it.  take it back and have them check it.

there should be a valet button.
well is the led on constant.
1. open the drivers door
2. push lock        \
3. push unlock--------> use the remote
4. push lock        /
you have to push the buttons pretty quick.
you need to find out where the installer put the valet button. it will come in handy later.

The led is not on and there is no switch its in my box still.  The remote is recieving a recieve signal from the car but, it will not transmit to the car the little transmit icon comes up and beeps like its out of range and then if you stare at it the recieve icon will pop up.

im gonna have to go with my original diagnostic.  a bad ground on the alarm.  or the alarm is bad.  take it back to where you got it installed.
