Just had a Viper 350 installed. The truck does not have power door locks. Next project is to install Nissan factory power door lock actuators. Any advice or tips such as switch type or wiring recommendations that I can pass on to the installers. The actuators appear to have two exposed prongs in the plug socket.

I have done one of these Titans.

I installed Power windows, OEM latches w/ servos, and a remote entry.

I mounted and wired a door lock switch on both front doors. The switches throw a ground to the 2 relays controlling the locks along with the keyless.

You can do the same set up on the Chevy Canyon and several imports.

Forgot to answer main question on how to attach wires to OEM latches.

I used small female crimp connectors FIFR110 from AAMP.

you posted on a different forum that a Best Buy installer installed your factory powder door locks and that they were working great that you were very satisfied.Whatz up with that?you don't have to lie to make friendz or get help.Tell the Best Buy installers they need a on-off-on switch to make the door locks work along with to relayz.

My post on the other forum was after they were installed. I made this post before they were installed, and after the installer discovered that I would have to order factory actuators because of the cable setup. Just the facts no lies.

maaaan,he had you purchase factory actuators. is the cable set up similar to the 2005 Toyota's? there is always a way to bypass anything. I've done aftermarket door lock actuators on 2005 Toyota's with similar cable setup I don't think it should be that much of a challenge. can't wait to get my hands on one of those puppys.what ever the factory car manufactures bring out the aftermarket community will have an answer.

In this case I am happier with the factory set up. The Titan actuators are built into the complete door latching assembly. Basically a twin with the non-powered. From the door latching assembly there are three semi rigid cables just like the non powered assembly. Quick and easy swap out. I had to order power latches from the SE since they are not an option on the XE king . All other surrounding parts interface. Keep in mind I now have factory power latch units. Total for both doors $138.00. In my opinion, I would rather have the factory power latches than after market spliced in rod actuators. No holes to drill, no new hardware, and no rigging.

Would you mind terribly posting the NIssan part numbers for all of the parts you needed for the conversion to power door locks. I've called my local Nissan dealer's parts counter guy and he's telling me that I would have to spend $1000 for the parts to put in power door locks in my '05 Titan XE KC !!! Personally, I think he's just lazy, but the shop service manual doesn't have the part numbers and the diagram is a little fuzzy too. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

total for 4doors on 05 corolla w/switch 22 bucks.aftermarket. 2doors w/switch 12bucks.Nissan Titan. No problem.

Purchase the SE model door latching assemblies for both sides. It is the complete door latch that has the three cables running to the door handles and lock button. Open your door and you will see the three large philips head screws that attach the lacthing assemblies to the inside of the door. They are interchangable even the hardware. They even look the same except for the power connection. The acuator is built in. The passenger side will not work with a key just like factory installed power locks which normally would not have a key slot anyway. Each side is different as is the price. Total for both was around $158.00 from the dealer. Best buy installed them and wired in a Viper 350 which cost $229 installed.
