Ignition killed even when in valet mode

My husband jacked up our '99 Mustang SVT Cobra to change the oil last week and we think the tilt sensor or the brain in the Intelliguard Millennia alarm is on the fritz. The ignition is killed even when the car is in valet mode(alarm off). The convertible roof and windows could not be operated and the ignition was killed everytime he started up the car. Yesterday, he reset the alarm a couple of times and he was successful in starting up the car, but it is not reproducible. We discovered this after spending the afternoon washing the car. Now, we have the car in the middle of the driveway(we can't get our other vehicles out of the garage) with the roof down and the windows open. We've spent several hours, trying to reset the alarm and also to turn off the tilt sensor. The manual for the Intelliguard millennia suggests that the tilt sensor can be turned off but the chart has no mention of it. When the alarm was installed, we asked the w**ker who installed it to put in the DB9 serial com port but we don't see it in the glove or under the steering wheel. Could there be another place where this port could be installed or did this w**ker just didn't put it in even though we asked him? We were hoping to use the software wizard to see what was going on and to turn off sensors. Do you guys have any other suggestions or ideas short of going in and ripping out this *&##@*#* alarm? Going to an authorized Clifford dealor is not an option, the closest one "doesn't do" this type of alarm and the next closest one is 2.5 hours away and I'm not even sure if they "do anything" with this type of alarm. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

sounds like you should just rip that alarm out.  rconnect everyhting and go from there.  if everything works i would switch to the viper 791If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.

You need to try to determine what kind of starter kill it has, is it normally open or normally closed. If its normally closed its NOT the alarm causing the problem. From the sound of the problems, cant roll the windows up or put the top up, I would look at the battery in the car and see if it has a problem before i start rewiring the alarm.

That alarm should have a N.O. starter kill.

pop the dash off, see if there is even a relay, a starter kill wouldn't do that, maybe an ignition kill would,, but i wouldn't think unless they put an ignition kill with like 3 relays that the thing would go DEAD, you should still have like a heater working or dash lights comming on or something, if it is then just switch the pins on the relay from 87a to 87 or vise versa and see if you can get it to crank, or just reconect the wires to each other and bypass the realays, but i'm not sure if it's really a problem with the alarm, you may have an ignition that's going bad too Bad Boys Customs
