Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know if a 2005 Honda Civic (4 Door Sedan) needs a by pass module for the remote starter to work?
Thanks in advance,

Yes it does. The PKH3 ( newest version ) will do it for this vehicle. Have done a dozen or so and should be able to get this vehicle ( manual or auto ) out within 2-3 hours tops for a beginner. Just ensure that you get the newest version of the module otherwise you will get no start issues even with the OEM key in the ignition.

Hi Jeff

Just wondering if a universal by pass module (i.e. can be used on almost all cars) exists as I vaguely recall some sites selling such modules.

Thanks

Yes, the universal modules will work on the Honda's as well. If you experience any failed starts after you install a universal, just reposition the key in the box and this will remedy any problems. I prefer to have a keyless system for my customer's for added security purposes, but that's just me.
