I have a 97 grand marquis and I'm installing a prestige platinum by audiovox(aps 750a). I am having problems intalling the tach wire, there are two coils with four pistons per coil pack, there are three wires going to each tan/white RED / green and tan/orange on one and tan/blue RED / green and tan/green on the other. I hook up the first way they said with three diodes and a resistor and hooking those up to three of four coils. then I did it the other way by hooking it up to the tan/blue wire and both ways the unit will not initialize. does any body know a hit to my problem, I'm confused.

Two coil packs in this vehicle. Left hand front of engine and right hand front of engine. Each coil pack contains two coils, each controlling two spark plugs. Choose one of four wires at these coils. Tan/lt.green or tan/lt.blue at left coil module. Tan/white or tan/orange at right coil module.
