friend of mine has a diesel E300 and was looking for an alarm he has keyless entry already and a button in the car so i thought that it would be ease to do the alarm and keyless...
Then i read his manual and it says that the Factory immobiliser is armed and disarmed with the key fob. not a redio key
so how does it work if i go to do an install..
Thanks

are you doing a remote starter and alarm or just alarm????  a factory immobilizer is something like a chip in his key for starting purposes. I'm not sure if i read your post right, so please post more info. (model alarm)

ok its just alarm.   the immobiliser doesn't work by picking up the key in the ignition   it works when you lock the car remotely it arms and disarms when you open remotly.
i.e. if he doesn't lock the car with the key remote the car can be started   if he does it can't

most alarms have an option for a starter kill relay. that would do the same thing wether you have that as a factory option or not.
