Hello, and thanks for trying to help me out here, ive just spent 2 hours installing my alarm, and my patience is taking a lil bit of a beating :-)

I have a magicar fai-440, which I'm told is the same as a compustar alarm. I cant figure out how to program it, and I have seen other posts which say that they are a pain to program. The manual says to turn the ignition on then off, then push the valet switch to select the item to change, then wait for one beep for it to be enabled, or 2 for it to be disabled.

The problem here is, it doesnt beep at all until 10 seconds later when it beeps for 2 seconds to let me know that it is out of programming mode. I have tried calling compustar, but they say they cant help me. I also cant read korean, so magicar's web site isnt gonna do me any good :-)

Thanks for reading through that long of a post, I really appreciate your help.

Darrell

if it has a valet switch then it isn't a compustar they don't believe in them. compustar does make the new scosche alarms.
