I installed a Crimestopper RS840 in a 2000 S-10 Blazer and I'm having trouble with disarming the factory alarm. It will disarm it for remote starting but not for unlocking the doors. Is there any way to set this unit up so it will disarm the factory alarm before it unlocks the doors?

The disarm wire for the factory alarm is in the BCM's purple plug located under the center dash to the right of the gas pedal. Use a negative pulse to disarm the alarm. If your unit doesn't have a dedicated disarm wire, then split the unlock circuit into two. Use these leads to send a positive pulse to the unlock wire in the truck and a negative pulse to the disarm wire. You will need a relay.
