Adding alarm system to existing OEM keyless system in 04 Avalanche.  I also have an Omega DBDLM-3G multi-vehicle databus module.  Not sure if I need this module with the 9232a alarm. Looks like I can just wire up the arm/disarm inputs. Not real sure what the databus module does for you. Any help is appreciated.

Since the add on alarms use the MOTOR wires to arm/disarm, and NOT the switch wires, you should not need any additional module. That being said I also don't know what exactly a DBDLM-3G is or if it can help you at all, but it's definately not necessary.

This add on has 2 ARM inputs and 2 DISARM inputs. It calls for 1 ARM input to connected to the SWITCH side and the other ARM input connected to MOTOR  side.It compares the two inputs and keeps from arming when switch inside vehicle is activated. Only arms with remote.

Disarm input 1 connects to DRIVERS unlock MOTOR wire.

Disarm input 2 connects to unlock side of SWITCH or any PASSENGER door unlock MOTOR wire.

Info I have only shows motor lock and motor unlock wire color and location. Anyone have info on Switch wire colors and location?

Arm Input: Gray (+) Inside Driver Door. This is your driver door lock motor wire.
Disarm Input 1: Tan (+) Inside Driver Door. This is your driver door unlock motor wire.
Disarm Input 2: Tan (+) Driver rear door harness. In harness on the left side of the dash behind the small trim panel. This is your passenger door unlock motor wire.
If you want ignition controlled locks, which the truck should have from the factory, or the alarm to arm itself AND lock the doors, you will need that databus module. If you just want to arm/disarm via the OEM remote, then you don't need the databus module.

That's what the databus module is for you won't find any switch wires in that vehicle.
