Hello,

I'm going attempt to install an alarm in my car.  But I have some questions.  For example, in the diagram it says that wire for the Door Trigger is RED / White(-).  Does that negative sign mean it is a negative trigger?  Also, the diagram lists a Door Lock, Door Unlock, Driver's Lock, Driver's Unlock and Passenger Unlock.  What are all those for?  I can unlock all the doors by turning the key twice in the driver or passenger door.  Is that what those are used for?  The car is a 1999 Nissan Maxima.  Only security it has is the transponder chip in the key.  The alarm I'm going to install is an old unit I removed from a previous car, Excalibur AL-900JX.  Thanks!

e.n. :)

You will not require to use relay, but you will need to set the alarm unit to a double pulse in order to unlock the doors.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.1999 Nissan Maxima, Excalibur AL-900JX -- posted image.

i don't think the alarm has the option for double pulsing.  I searched google and came up with DEI 452T.  Hopefully I can get one locally. Thanks!
