Does anyone recommend a horn that connects to the alarms output instead of the factory horn. It seems to me that if you really want to draw attention you need a really loud horn when you hit the panic button. Any suggestions? Its for a 2002 accord.

Thanks

Ed

www.partsexpress.com has an inexpensive multi-tone programmable unit for ~15$ or so.  I haven't actually gotten any security stuff from them yet, but Im tempted to drop the 15$ just to do as you are speaking of.  I have a 99 Accord and run into the same thing - no one cares about the OEM horn.

Im assuming you have the wiring for the multifunction unit for the accord already? or you probably wouldnt be asking this eh? ;)

I just hooked up my alarm using both the car horn and the siren. If my alarm goes off in a parking lot somewhere, I'll be able to tell if it's mine or not by the sound of the horn honking along with the siren. Let me tell you, it's very loud and annoying...real attention getter-

I agree with bob.......siren + horn is a very obnoxious combination.....you'll know it's yours.

Either that or hook up some air horns.

Yes real attention getter but if you have your alarm too sensative, u will also get the attention of the police ticket,

had a customer wanted real sensative sensor cuz he lived in bad neigborhood, well he couldn't find parking at his apartment one day and parked half a block away, near a bus stop, well when he got to the car the next morning he found a $100 noise ordinance ticket on his windshield, OUCH!!!!!
