I just finished installing an alarm on my g/fs truck...a 2003 silverado and i have two problems.
1. I could not find the wire for the parking lights. All over this sight it says the gry/blk wire on the brown connector at the BCM. i found with an multimeter, that this line has a constant 12V on it. When the lights are turned on, it drops to 0 then right back up to 12V. Hooking the wire from my alarm does nothing.
2. If i try to alarm the vehicle right after getting out, it is fine for a few seconds, then my transmitter chirps (its a two way alarm system), and the siren chirps a few times. I then have to re-arm the system. It also does this if i try to rearm it right after i disarm it.
thanks if anyone can help.

I usually hook up at the Switch:

Parking LampGRAY/BLACK (-)HEADLIGHT SWITCH *

* Parking Light Wire Has Also Been Found As A BROWN / WHITE (+) High In Kick

Does your Dome Light stay on after Arming and then when it goes out your Alarm chirps?

If your alarm doesn't have a way to trigger pos OR neg, you'll need to use a relay to change it to neg.
