i installed the 350hv last month and want to throw in the rsx3.5 i just got. can i just put the clifford brain in or do i have to uninstall n start from scratch ?
the only difference on the 12pin harness's is the viper has a yellow wire and the clifford doesn't.

yeah. except the pin w/ the yellow wire, on the viper it says (+) Switched ignition Input, Zone 5; on the clifford it says "empty".

reason for the empty slot is the main igntion is the pink wire in the heavy gage harness. just un hook the yellow wire. dose the clifford have on baord relays for ch 2 and dome. the viper dotn so that wont be a problem. also the WHITE/ blue wire chages form ch 3 to a RS input. so u may have to change that IF you hook it up. if not dont worrie about it.

allright. the pink wire comes out of the relay satellite, besides the pink wire to ignition do i need to hook up the other wires ?(im not using remote start):
(8 Heavy guage wires coming out of relay satellite)
purple - starter side starter wire
green - key side starter wire
red    - 12v constant input
orange - accessory output
pink/white - 2nd ignition output
RED / white - 12v constant input
pink   - ignition output
red    - 12v constant input

may have to hook up 1 of the power wires, this power the ingtion relay, im not sure you may have to hook both up. if you have startr kill relay hook up in the main harness, you dotn need to hook up the green and purple wires. look in the program section see if you have to trun "ground when arm on"
y not just hook up the remote start part, you have it alaready.
i wounder if you can use the igntion wire in the main harndness then, i dotn know try it out i guess.

ill try it when i get home. i do have a starter kill relay hooked up and my car is manual transmission so i dont know about the remote start; ive heard it isnt "safe"; but that would be sweet.

turns out the brains are swappable, everything works fine using the 350hv 12pin wire harness w/ the 3.5 brain. no need to hook up the relay satellite; i just had to change the antenna and hook up the shock sensor.
thanks for the help i really appreciate it.

*Nevermind... the relay satellite Does need to be hooked up (pink to ignition, red to 12v volt) swamprat323 was correct. I figured this out when my valet switch wasnt working and the alarm would not go off when atempting to start the car. also the led would blink 2times when the car was unarmed even while i was driving.
