2002 dodge ram ignition coil location

I have read all the posts I can find on the subject, and all I can find is that the tach lead is a tan/red wire @ the ignition coil. The problem is that I cannot locate the ignition coil. I called some buddies and they said that each cylinder has a seperate coil pack w/ a GREEN/ red wire common to each and another wire independent to each. They said I could pickup the signal from the independant wire at any one of the coil packs. I tested them and I get 14 volts with the engine running, but my tach lead needs to see 0-5 volts.

I have read mabey that it was the RED / tan wire located at the ecm connector c1 pin 8, tested that with no results. any help will be appreciated.

I am using an old Avital phoenix w/ a Q-start module. I do not know the tach learning procedure as I cannot find the install manual I had when I bought it. Looked @ directed.com and avital.com, search engines, called around to the local shops, nobody knows. I'm pretty sure thats my problem, landed the wire now I have to program the tach.

Jeff, I tested the wire in AC and got about 1.8 or so with some fluctuation w/ rpms, thank you.
