truthfully, an alarm is NOT where you want to start your installation education.  Start with a CD player, a couple amps, some speakers, then move to the alarm.  There are so many variables it's easy to get overwhelmed & screw some things up for good.

sterios no problem been there done that its just that all the hard wiring looks a bit overwhelmingim just trying to find a set of more detailed instructions there are no real good layout on the instruction manual ive looked at the wiring diagram for this unit and car like i said just a bit more than i was expecting

Then depending on the complexity of the alarm, guage your ability to take this on.  If it's a simple siren/door/motion/start kill setup then you can probably figure it out with some research.  If it's light flashing, remote start, door locks, multi-zone, multiple relays - get out while you can.  Those instructions are usually written for people that have done lots of these & have access to wiring chart databases for cars (there's one here, incidently).

You'll find plenty of WRX specific info.
If you had a specific question, I'd be happy to help. But I'm not going to write out a step by step guide.
