On the new replacement remote there is a P button on the back. Does anyone know how to do any programing with this button. The package doesn't explain how to use this button. Need help please.

It is used to program the remote functions only. ie. vibrate/beep, backlight on/off, page mode on/off etc. Look in the Viper owner's manual for the description of each feature.

The viper's manual that I have is for the older remote without the P button. Can anyone tell me what it says for the newer remote P button functions and how to set them?

The features and setings are the same. The difference is you can hold the program button until a long beep is heard instead of having to hold all four buttons. You can also still hold all 4 buttons as well to enter programming.
Here's the newer manual if you need it.
