I'm trying to wire a Pace Edwards electric tailgate lock to a 2002 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with OEM remote keyless entry and I'm tearing my hair out trying to figure out which wires to tap into and where to tap into them.  The instructions tell you to tap into an Orange and Black wire and a Pink and Black wire under the dash, near the emergency brake pedal.  The most obvious bunch of wires under the dash near the brake pedal go into a rectangular wiring block that's covered with a white cover.  Under there, there's a thick Pink and Black wire, but no Orange and Black wire.  I went back to Pace Edwards and they said that sometime, it's a solid Blue wire instead of an Orange and Black wire.  There is a solid blue wire, but when I connect to both wires, nothing happens, even when I cross the connections.  I've verified with a 12v battery that the electric tailgate lock works when 12v is momentarily connected.  I also pulled a kickpanel to the left of the emergency brake pedal and found other wiring connections and tried some of those, with no luck.  I found something on the internet which identified the door lock and unlock wires as green and white wires.  Tried those and they don't work either.  I hope there's somebody out there who can tell me definitively which wires to tap into and where exactly these wires are.  I'm handy with a multimeter, so any troubleshooting or wire verification tips would also be appreciated.  Thanks in advance...

Thanks MO,  you saved me 10 more hours of frustration and cursing.  The pin positions were exactly as cited in your previous post.  The unlock wire was blue in my vehicle.
