I just got done installing a rattler 369d  remote start system in an 02 cavalier. I am having a problem trying to get the remote start to learn the rpm/tach signal. I tried to switch it up to the voltage checking type, but I am having no luck with that either. The tach wire that I am using is the PURPLE / WHITE WIRE. There is two of these wires in the same harness and I have tried both. This is the harness that is right next to the battery and in between the transaxle and the radiator hose. Without compleing this step, I can't procede any further. If anyone here here could hepl me, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you.

try the White Wire on the top of the engine, near the driver side of the strut tower, there is also a purple white there, and i think the wire is in a 4 or 5 wire harness,  ( i'm pretty sure if i remember correct it's top part of the ing harness..
