I had a hornet 554t installed in my 2003 town &Country. I want to hook it up so the heat and air conditioning comes on when the van is remote started. It was not installed when the installation was done.

If you are talking about Front A/C:
Ignition Wire Controls All Accessories........Are you sure they are being left ON prior to Remote Start

For some reason its not allowing me to leave the A/C on. Is there a reason for this? Is there another way to hook up the A/C to come on when the van is remote started. The van starts up ok. I had the alarm installed 2 years ago and haven't had any problem's with the remote start. Also how can i hook up the rear defrost to work with the remote start?

The instruction's state that the accessory wire is not needed for remote start. My heat/ac does not come on when remote started. I had this installed 2 years ago(hornet 554t). Im not sure if he hooked up the accessory wire or not but if he did would this be a problem that caused the heat/ac not to come on when remote started? I leave the heat/ac on when i turn the car off.

No the accesory wire does not do the heat and ac, its the ignition that does that, but as stated above, did it just stop or has it never worked

It never worked. One of my friends installed the alarm and he thought at the time he may have needed another relay to hook it up. The alarm otherwise work's fine and i haven't had any problems out of it. Just can't leave the heat/ac turned on!

SO.....under remote start condition.....you CANNOT turn the heat, or defrost ON.....But as soon as you put the key in, and take it out of remote start....it works fine
