I have a 2005 mustang GT 5 speed and I put in a compustar 2wss-as

I put the transponder ring around the key cylinder and the first time I went to remote start it it did nothing and the immobilizer light on the dash began flashing Then I moved the transponder ring infront of the factory ring and remote started it again this time the car went through the proper cycle of the ignition turning on and all that but it never started, it didn't even try to start

I am using the DEI 556U with the key in the box, but it seems it is not reading the chip in the key correctly

I know that everything else is installed correctly, as this is what I do for a living, is this the proper bypass for the car or is there another one I could use

Or if anyone has any other ideas that may help me would be appreciated

Thanks Mike

yes the 556u is the proper bypass.. have u correctly bypassed the clutch and have you hooked up the keysense wire?   fords NEED the keysense wire hooked up with the 556u otherwise they freak out... learned that the hard way on my first ford

Oh crap, the clutch bypass I totally forgot about that

with the compustar alarm/remote start how do i do that?   cause where I work we have never been able to install the remote starts on a manual car untill now (liability issues)

who freaks out the car or the people at ford? and what do u mean learned that the hard way

actually I am not sure if I have to  do the clutch bypass, or do I ?

because the compustar remote start brain that I got is actually made for the manual transmission

just meter out the clutch wires and see what happens when you press the clutch.. i've never done a manual start cause i dont trust people..   as for the keys.. if fords see 2 keys the car freaks and can sometimes loose its programming...

is there a securit light in the mustang that normally flashes when the alarm is set.. like flashes every second or so , the whole time.. maybe in the instrument cluster.. if that lite is still on when the car is trying to remote start.. the immobilizer has not been bypassed

yes there is a security light that is flashing but when I go to remote start the car it turns off, goes through the process of starting, but never does start, doesn't even try to crank, then it repeats this process untill I step on the brake
