The manual says on pin 7 of harness CN1 there is a green wire that hooks up to the ignition wire on the ignition harness of the vehicle.  However, on the CN1 harness on pin 7 there are TWO wires, a green and a red.

Do these connect together then tap into the ignition wire to act as some type of load bearing circuit?  Do they tap in separately to the same ignition wire one to turn it on one to monitor the status?

Please help!  The compustar model is 2W900FM-AS which has the CM3000 brain..

Thanks,

Chris

the red wire goes to a starterkill/antigrind relay, it's not used in any other application

the red and purple are prewired to the relay.

i realize that... thanks though

can anyone PLEASE tell me why there are TWO wires coming out from the SAME pin... PIN 7 on harness CN1... one is RED and the other is GREEN.  NEITHER are hooked up to a relay.  PIN 7 is labeled as IGNITION.

Thanks,

Chris

there isn't two wires in that pin, pin 7 is straight green on the harness but in the install book they label it as GR/Red, i think they made a mistake

just put the green wire to ignition

starter kill needs ignition and a negative trigger, they happen to prewire it, THAT's why there's 2 wires coming out of 1 pin.
the green wire is the ignition output of the starter, the red is the prewired to the starter kill relay

i think you just misunderstood him

I ran into this alot before where the install manula says CN1 pin 7 is GR/Red, but the actual harness it is just green
