1998 Dodge G Caravan, Dealer (factory) installed remote(s) will not work after I ran down battery w/key in ign. on overnight. I recharged Battery but now both remotes don't work. I followed instructions in booklet as follows: turn ign on, hold status reset button in for 15 seconds, locks will recycle once, let go of button, press lock button on remote after 5 seconds....... didn't work after trying several times...ck'd all fuses and all were good. Locks did not recycle while holding this status reset button either. Does anybody know if that status reset button is suppose to be lit or light when pressed? booklet says nothing other than it is light emiting diode switch...it does not light...I have never seen it lit as it is under fuse panel cover. Looks to be one wire system from what I can see..could the status reset button have gone bad? Any Ideas welcome!

Thanks, dave

Is it a remote starter? alarm? or just keyless? more info on the unit installed will be necessary. pictures of the remotes and the brain will help if there are no labels on them.

Unable to post photos. keyless entry only, whatever the dealer installs as factory option, book just says Dodge Remote guide. I'll just take to the dealer, tired of messing with it.

Original post 11/08/05, Found the fix for the programming being lost due to dead Battery, reset didn't work but eventually found an inline fuse. Fuse was good but just needed to remove and re-install fuse for fix. Info here is for use by others hope it is helpful...dave
