I just got a gothic "batman" alarm led scanner. one problem is i dont have the directions for it. the second problem is i do not have an alarm. I have a 97 grand prix and im trying to wire it so when i lock my doors and my car is off that the led will come on. is there something i could wire this too that is easily acessiable? I have some expensive electronics and want to make it look like I have an alarm. so please can someone help me out?

you could easily wire up a relay so your scanner will be on whenever the ignition is off. use a bosch type spdt relay: 85 to ground, 86- 12v from ignition, 30 - power wire from scanner, 87a-fused 12v constant. Your scanner will turn on as soon as you turn off the ignition.
Life moves pretty fast; if you don't stop and look around once in a while; you could miss it.
