I have an older model viper and I want to add the solenoid to pop my doors to the alarm. I want to be able to hit the unlock and the driverside pops and then with the aux input pop the passenger side. Is this the correct hookup for the relay? 86 and 30 to constant +, 85 to negative out of alarm, and 87 to solenoid.
Any ideas on the colors of the wires I need to hook this up to? What about a diode for the neg input to the alarm? In order to hookup the hidden button, would I just run it off the neg input?
Thanks

yes that is the correct relay wiring, on the brain itself should have the wiring color codes, the aux should be a RED / white wire, the door lock wires are on a 2 pin connector green and blue wires if the alarm doesnt have onboard relays for the door locks. dont have to diode isolate the neg trigger. yes just connect a momentary swith to the 85 on the relay with the input and ground the other side. If your doors unlock automaticly when you turn the ignition off you might want to disable that. You can also wire the aux output to unlock both doors if you wanted to with relays, so once the drivers door is open, you press the aux button again and the passenger side will then open.
There are 10 types of people in the world, ones that understand binary and ones that dont.

I am still having problems with this. I wired the relay up correctly to the alarm input and it doesn't do anything. I hard wired the solenoid and it works fine, I also metered the input on the brain and it works fine, so i know it is working correctly. The relay is just not clicking, if I take the input that is supposed to go to the alarm and connect it to a power supply it clicks, but does not trigger the solenoid. I am out of ideas, any more help would be appreciated.
