Why your car won't start, I don't know.
But you're right about the dark green Ignition 2 wire. It is the first wire to get power as you turn the key----that is, just bump the key forward a tiny bit from Off and it already has power, all the way through the Start position----that is the correct Ignition 2 wire on that car.

thanks for the reply, i am useing the bypass from designtech, i guess this remote start that i have will not work on the 1999 malibu because the wireing instructions tell me that the ignition 2 wire can't be hot in the acc position, even in the install vidio it makes a spiecial poit that it must be off or ground in acc,

the bypass modual i have is to bypass the passlock system but if the green wire is hot in acc it won't work right ether,

will contact designtech, by he way the model # is 20921will wait a few days and see if anybody has anything else that might help

                         thanks a lot,   wambam

It shouldn't matter that the 2nd ignition is hot in ACC; however it is important that your orange accessory wire gets powered as an accessory and not an ignition so that you don't cause problems with the passlock.
