05 focus, data bypass kit

got the starter all hooked up and everything works, but i cant get a universal bypass kit to send the chip signal. i have to hold a key in almost the exact position it would be in to get the car to crank. it is very fussy and there is no way i can get it to start with the key inside the steering column (temporarily of corse) i am sure what i need is a bypass kit that uses a data interface to bypass the pats system. the cheapest i could find them online is 49.99, anyone have a better price than this? i would be buying at least a couple. who makes them?
