I am finishing up the install of my compustar 2wss-as in my 1997 chevy truck. I had to use relays to reverse the polarity of the doorlocks, and I am having a problem. The lock side is hooked up and works perfect, but for some reason I can NOT get the doorlocks to unlock. If I switch the wire from the brain from the lock side to my unlock relay, it will unlock the doors when the remote is pressed to lock the doors, but it will not unlock them with the unlock wire from the brain. I can't figure it out, and I have tried everything. Any Compustar experts out there with some ideas?
Thanks,
Paul

Meter the output as has been said. When you push unlock how many park light flashes are you getting?

i tried using the meter on them, but i can't seem to get much of a reading off of either one. What do I have to do if it doesn't work?

This is the situation when a good test lights become handy. You will not be able to see the quick pulse output with a multimeter. Get yourself a good test lights will little current draw. They are usually refers to as safe circuit test light. Don’t take word SAFE literally. There is nothing safe about this line of work. Anyways, you will be able to see if the lock or unlock is working or not with a test light. Also, take a look at your relay make sure you don’t have a starter kill relay plug in. It has happen! If all else fails you may be able to get away using the Arm and Disarm wire.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Compustar 2wss-as door unlock problem -- posted image.

I can see the pulse from Compustar DL outputs on my DMM.   I install them every day and have had to test a few DL outputs from time to time.
