That be:

White = Lock....NEGATIVE Pulse

Blue =   Unlock.....NEGATIVE Pulse
@ ETACS

The ETACS (Electronic Time and Alarm Control System) module is attached to the underdash fuse box.

so just the pulse from the keyless entry unit will be enough to trigger the factory relays or will I need to wire negative pulse relays to do the job?

Some Installers wire Direct..........

Not knowing the Unit you are installing, ......Your Install Instructions probably
advise you to use Relays, unless it has On-Board Relays for Door Locks

Yeah, I assumed I would probably have to use relays.  I'm installing an Omega Mars 22 unit.  So basically I'll use the 3 wire diagram but pulse ground instead of 12V+ correct?

Can anyone tell me what all is involved in installing a transponder bypass module?  The module I've got is the universal that you put a key in.  It's a Pass4 unit for a MARS 22 remote start unit that's being installed on an '05 Kia Optima.  Anyone have any experience with these?  Are there any trick or is it pretty straight forward?

Thanks, Adam

Pass 4 will work GOOD with Mars...........Make sure you put loop around Ignition Switch Cylinder so as to be over ( preferably )or as close to the Transponder Ring as possible.  Put Key in box and center Transponder head.  Also try to keep Loop wire away from other wires when running down Steering Column.

If the PASS 4 doesn't have the Plug for the Auxillary Port on the MARS, then use the BLUE wire on the Plug that comes with the MARS to Trigger PASS 4

Thanks Mo.  The Pass4 that I have is an Omega unit so I'm pretty sure the mars 22 has a port for it.

Mo, since you seem to be the expert on this, or the only one who feels inclined to reply, I'll ask you one more question.  The wiring diagram for the 05 Kia Optima states that the OEM alarm can only be disarmed with the factory remote.  Will this hinder my installation in any way?  I know on my wife's durango I had to bypass the OEM alarm otherwise every time she remote started it the alarm went off.  Is the Kia the same way or is it only triggered by a door pin?

Alright, installed the mars 22 on the 05 optima tonight.  Went off without a hitch except for the locks.  All the diagrams I've found show white & blue at the etacs.  The problem I've run into is that I've found about 52 blue wires & 24 white wires (maybe I exagerate a bit).  Can anyone tell me more specific directions to these wires or tell me how to test for them?  Thanks in advance.

Mo, Pass4 worked great, thanks for all your help.
