I just installed a Code Alarm 530 remote start in my 2003 Ford Expedition.  After getting everything hooked up and running I found that the radio is not turning on.  The clock comes on when the ignition is turned on, but the radio does not when the key is turned to accesory or to on.

I am wondering if there is a wire harness under or in the steering column that may have come unplugged or if installing the car remote start may have done something to it.  I cannot figuire out how it could have though.

I am also going to post this in the alarm section as well, just not sure who would have the expertise on it.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Dave

I should have mentioned it...I already checked.  No bad fuse.

Kind of an update...the radio clock works and eject tape/CD works...nothing else.  It won't turn on or anything.  For what its work it seems that I can only see the clock with the headlights on, but that could be because it is night time.  It is like it is not getting the heads up to turn on...or not getting power.  COuld I have messed up something from the ignition swtich that powers the radio?

Did you check your underhood fuses? I know from experience that if you short the main power wires at the ign switch on a Ford it blows a fuse at the underhood panel--60 amp if memory serves me right.

I did not check that, but wouldn't affect a lot of other things as well?  This only is affecting the radio.
