Trying to find the key sense wire for an 04 grand prix. Directed and astrochart say pin 40 Green wire under the dash, I found that pin and tested it with a multimeter, with no change from when the key is out and in and turned in the ignition.

Any one have any hints?

I am using a tk3 universal bypass kit.

Yep, I see there are 2 wires on one each side of the white wire, one tests 0 volts with out the key in, and tests 3 volts at the ignition position. The other one (the one at pin 40) tests 0 at key out and 0 at key in and 0 at key to ignition position.

The key sense wire is in position 40 of the 52 pin connector at the bottom of the BCM. This is the large connector beside the small 18 pin plug. You can also get the same wire in the ignition switch harness. It's the only light green wire in that harness.
