Hello I have an Ultra Start 4561 Alarm and Starter Combo that I would like to install on my Custom Ground up vehicle. I have a Haltech E6X stand alone fuel and ignition system I already have cruise figured out. I have door and hood pins installed most of the body wiring except the ignition. I have devised this way of making it work please let me know if this will work or not. (wiring Diagram attached)

The engine is a 13BT mazda Rotary.

It is a Tubular Chasis, and custom fiberglass body.

What do you exactly want it all to do? Remote start the car? Kill the starter or simply wire up an ignition to it? Looks like if it's wired that way the starter will be energized all the time.

I want to install from scratch an ignition system where the security system disables the starter until I disarm it, and I can still use the remote starter.

If that won't work how can I change it so that it will work keep in mind that pins 87 will not be connected to anything... only 87q will be connected to the starter.

I havent messed with a Mazda before but doesnt the starter have a solenoid? If so, you need a 4AWG wire going from the battery to the starter.. then a 16AWG wire from the start switch to the solenoid. You can install a relay somewhere between the switch and the solenoid to keep it from starting.

Thank you I have a 4 AWG wire that is always hot already routed to the starter. Yes it does have a solonoid. and it is the above diagram that I want to know if it is correct to install a custom ignition. the car is not mazda it was made by me it is using a mazda starter drivetrain. Please tell me if the above diagram will work. It is the circuit leading to the solonoid on the starter that I have depicted above.

Based off of the information you show (in which we do not know what type of relay you are using, whether it's a SPDT or a DPDT relay) it does appear that the starter will be engaged all the time. If the relays you are using are a SPDT (single pull double throw, then when you are NOT cranking the starter with the key, then term 30 and 87(Q?) should be common, thus cranking the starter.

Here is what I think.

Relay 1 (standard SPDT 30/40 amp relay (quality brand name)

85 12v+ from key switch

86 ground

30 12v+

87 12v+ output to starter solonoid.

87a (not used)

If you want the starter kill then take your starter kill relay for your alarm and wire it inline on the starter wire between the key switch and relay 1 terminal 85

Skip the relay 1 and take your wire directly from the key switch starter output and go directly to the starter solenoid switched input while puting your starter kill relay in line on that wire.

Skip all the mess you have listed above and make it simple. Less things to fail.
