I purchased a 94 grand cherokee with the compustar 1wam4r
already installed. Things were great. Now it has stopped working, and I am at a loss as to where to look. It appears that there are no blown fuses. When I push on the remote, the red light turns on. I found a unit on the steering column with an led in the center which changes between yellow, red and green. Flashes, not constantly on. Not quite sure what all the components are, what they look like and where to start. Unfortunately, there are no tech manuals on line that I have found. Can someone point me to some documentation or send me pictures of components and things to check.
I really appreciate this.
Thanks,
Dave

Lets try this again with some proof reading.
Call compustar and ask them to email a copy of the installation and users manual to you. They are pretty good at doing it, but it may take days to get.   www.compustar.org

Toggle the ignition switch 5 times fast ( within 3 seconds ) and press the LOCK button. Wait 2 seconds after you press the lock button and you will exit program mode. Now try the remote control to see if it works.

I have attempted turning the switch on and off 5 times really fast and pushing the lock button. Unfortunately, the dash lights flash, but the remote still doesn't work the power locks. I have sent a request to compustar for information. Any other thoughts? Thanks for the suggestions

There may also be a fuse for the relays that control the door locks. Did you test the relays and the fuse for the door locks ?

I did check the fuses. The locks work using the switch in the door. What is the best way to check relay, with meter or try swapping it out?
