Im installing a remote start on 06 accord, not an lx model. My diagram say to run 2 wires into drivers door to disarm and re-arm factory alarm. Do I need to dis arm for remote start on this vehicle. I have already removed door lock panel and have tested the wires that diagram says are dis arm and arm. Disarm puts the windows down adn unlocks doors, arm puts windows up? Other problem is that in door boot there is a plug that plugs into door. Any help will be appreciated.

I did a 2002 with factory alarm, What I did was hooked up the disarm wire, and then had my remote start> unlock doors, remote start, then lock doors.

Same thing for trunk, it would automatically Unlock doors, open trunk, and then after you closed the trunk, it would automatically lock the doors again.

The Accord is the same from 2003-2006. I've done about 10 from that time period. The first couple I ran wires into the drivers door for arm and disarm. It sucks. I unplugged the connector in the boot, pulled it down as far as I could and drilled 2 small holes in it. I then ran two 22 gauge wires thru the plug and put it back together. After I cleaned up the grease I got all over the place and put the door back together the total time was about an hour to an hour and a half. I realized what a pain in the but doing that is. Then I saw that the HODL2 from bypasskit.com does arm, disarm, lock, unlock, door trigger, hood trigger and trunk release. It connects to 1 wire in the car in the harness going into the fuse box. Anytime a customer wants a remote start in a 2003+ Accords they don't have any options. They pay for an HODL2 for the locks and a PKH3 for the transponder key.
