I have extended them before with no problem.  I don't know if it makes a difference and i didn't want to find out, but i made sure to not cross up the wires.  In other words makes sure the same wire goes to the same pin as it did before it was cut and of course solder and shrinkwrap

ok gonna start now in a few mins.
the one thing thats confusing me is the manual trans safe start.
its says park.
without touching brake pedal transmit chanel 11(levelshift button twice, then button 3) on the radar two remote or other combination on the remote assigned to you by your dealer.
the alarm is an arrow 5 and looking at the wizzard a can program teh buttons on the remote to manual trans/autostart is this the level shift.
i'm gonna do the install now so hopefully someone can enlighten me for later on

all done didn't need to do any safety thing start when unarmed too which its not supposed to dunno why that is.   i have split parking light indicators each side and it illuminates them while remote started. says it doesn't do that on uk models. but it does is this programmable.
otherwise its all working and starting every time.

Is the car a manual?  If it is then do not ground the BLACK/ green wire!!!!  This will force you to do a manual trans safestart when leaving the car and prevent the car from starting in gear.  That button combination will not be set on  a arrow and requires you to program one through the wizard.  If you do not ground the wire it will also prevent the car from starting unarmed.  Parking lights are not programmable
