I have a couple of small problems with a troublesome Dodge Ram. I’ve installed a new Autopage RS860 Remote Start 2way system in the truck and everything is working flawless, except a few minor details that my customer noted to me. The heater does come on when remote started, but the heater controls are unresponsive under remote start. With a key start everything works, but only with a remote start the temp. adjuster is non-responsive until a key is inserted and turned over. Also with a remote start I can’t get the AC to come on (my customer wanted this for the summer time). This one’s racking my brain. I’ve gone back and made sure all of my ignitions are getting powered, the blue acc. wire is getting its power for the heat, and now I’m clueless as to what else relay power to, to get the AC on and power to the controls. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to power the second ACC wire, pink / YELLOW. however there is more than one pink / YELLOW, use your DMM to ensure you have the right ones - this will also shut off the idiot lights on the dash if they are on:

Third Ignition pink / YELLOW (10 AWG)(3rd acc)  +  ignition harness
Accessory dk. blue and pink/yel (16 AWG) +  ignition harness
Second Accessory pink / YELLOW (14 AWG)  +  ignition harness

10 AWG PINK / YELLOW wire is not required for remote start. It only provides power to the power window circuit. Your main problem is your 14 AWG PINK / YELLOW wire requires power during remote start. Did you also power up the PINK/LIGHT GREEN wire for your 2nd IGN ?
