Fiat punto immobiliser

I have a customer with a punto of very little value with a factory immobiliser problem.  It is not worth spending money on performing a proper repair so I have agreed to remove the immobiliser.  Only problem is I cand sus out how now!  I have read the 27c512 on the main board, and all I need is for someone to point me in the right direction as to which line to modify and what to modify it to.

If it seems too good to be true, it probably is

what year is the car and what exactly are you try ing to do. teh newer 99 on puntos are a pain in the ass

Its a '96 punto 55 (1.1) with marelli ECU.  The car doesnt currently start and the immobiliser light is on the dash board.  I have read the "software" off the eprom on the ECU, and was planning on "editing " it to remove the immobiliser.  (Unless someone else knows a better way of removing the immobiliser)

a new key code ecu is about £50stg and comes blank with no keys written to it. as far as i remember this gets the job done. i can find out for sure i you want. i work for fiat.
but if you can read the eeprom you can save yourself any cost providing your binary is up to scratch.

When you say the immobiliser ECU do you mean the code block that sits above the fusebox above the fuse box?  The eprom I have read is on the main ECU, I believe it gets a signal from another eeprom on the board which I believe is read protected but I understand I can edit the main "engine management" eprom and edit it so it will run without the signal from the immobiliser eeprom.  I should think it would be possible also by soldering jumper wires on the the pcb, but I couldnt sus out where they would need to go.

yes the code box.. if your can reprogram the eeprom on the ecu that should in theory work. i would try it after all the car is inexpensive.
