I am installing a code alram CA 420 remote start in a 2006 gmc Envoy, After having it installed I discovered a wiring problem with the passlock wires, after figuring that out I discovered that when the vehicle is started using the RS the service stabilitrac light comes on as well as a message in the Driver information center, saying service stabilitrac. This warning only goes off after shutting down the vehicle and restarting with the key. DOes anyone know what the problem may be?

Had a problem with a Silerado..security light would come on...perhaps wrong bypass..that was my problem..changed...no more light. Also had to disconnect battery for 10 minutes to remove hard code.

Make sure that you have powered up both ignition wires (Pink and White) and both accessory wires (Orange and Brown). If you don't power up the brown as a second accessory you will set a trouble code and turn on the check engine light.

I haven't needed to power up the brown wire on any GM truck, but it can't hurt.....
However, if you don't power up that white second-ignition wire, you'll have all kinds of troubles. On a full-size truck, the transmission will only operate in second gear.....not sure what it would do on a Trailblazer..... but that is the first place to check.

On certain Trailblazers and Envoys, the brown second acc. wire also powers transmission modules. The check engine light may only come on after running a few minutes.

I only have one accessory wire coming out of the remote start, will there be any problem with the same wire going to both the brown and orange accessory wires of the vehilce?

also, when wiring the passlock wires is it common fopr the system to time out due to tampering with the passlock system, the first time I tried it I could not start the vehicle with the key for 15 min?

You can't just hook the acc output to both wires. You will need two diodes and a relay to do it correctly. Split your ground out when running wire into two leads and install a diode inline in each branch with the band facing the remote starter. Hook one to your Passlock bypass and the other to terminal # 85 of a relay. Hook terminal # 86 of the relay to ignition. Hook your remote starter's accessory wire to both terminal # 30 of the relay and to the orange accessory wire in the vehicle. Hook terminal # 87 to the vehicle's brown accessory wire. As for the Passlock system, if the security light doesn't come on after starting, you should be OK. The system is sometimes put into tamper mode if you have trouble programming the system.
