I am having troubles getting my remote start on my 2002 Dodge Ram Diesel to work right. I have identified the Ignition wire (heavy gauge Blue wire) and a few accessory wires, but can't seem to get the right combo. Using the heavy blue for ignition (connect to the alarm pink ignition wire), and the BLACK/ orange for accessory (connected to the alarm gray accessory wire), the dash lights come on, the glow plugs work, but the starter does not engage after the 20 second puase (programmed in alarm/rs unit). But if I pull the 10 amp fuse for the "cluster" from the fuse box, the starter kicks in and it starts just fine. I replace the fuse and the truck runs great.
More details: I have installed a Crimestopper CS2011RS IV unit without the starter interupt.
This truck does not have the gray key or VSS, so no other interupts.
I am using the tach wire for the anti-grind and it works fine, as far as I can tell.
This was working perfectly for a while but as I was crimping on ends and rerouting wires to finish the install, I lost track of which wires were connected where and can't get it to work again.

Well, RTFM - I may have found my own issue. There are jumpers on the side of the alrm that dictate wether the pink/white alarm wire is accessory of ignition. I will set it to accessory and see if it will start.
I also found that there is a jumper for the wait to start/glow plug to change it from + to - I bet that is why it was not sensing the glow plug light correctly
I will play with jumpers tonight if nobody else has some suggestions.
