Hi all.

I can use a little bit of a pros help.

I have a 1999 Cavalier  4 door and i put a Python 460HP alarm in it I got everything to work BUT the door locks.

I have been told its a 5WI system it does not have a factory keyless system So I was told it has to be hooked up to the passenger door to control the system.

The kit came witth 2 diffrent sets of wires for the door locks. 1 of them is just 2 wires the other is a relay that has 5 wires off it 2 of them are for Lock / Unlock norm the others are for Lock / Unlock output #30 I can not find much info on the relay .

But I can not get the locks to work with either set of wires i went as far as ripping off the door panel to get to the door switch just to make sure i had the right wires. I did I also tryed useing the wires on both the driver and the passenger side door. Both do not work with the alarms locks

Can someone please help me out I am lost with this.

Thanks

From what your saying, I'm guess the relay you have is a 451m.  Should have a 3 pin harness that plugs into the brain with a green, blue, and red wire in it.  Then it should have 5 16 gauge wires, WHITE/ black, BROWN / black, GREEN/ black, blue/black, and a violet/black with a 15 amp fuse in it.  If that's the case then that's the part you're going to need to do your doorlocks.   Find the lock/unlock wires in the passengers kickpanel, cut both of them in half.  Once that's done test each end of the wires you cut.  When you push lock or unlock one side will jump to +12volts and the other side will stay at ground.  Wire up like this.

PURPLE / black     -   goes to constant +12volts

WHITE/ black      -   goes to the switch side of the lock wire
GREEN/ black      -   goes to the other side of the lock wire
BROWN / black      -   goes to the switch side of the unlock wire
blue/black       -   goes to the other side of the unlock wire
