Hello,
I want to program the Autopage RS 655 to operate two cars as is mentioned at the autopage website. It has a roman numeral 2 that acts as a shift to operate a 2nd cars alarm.
Problem is I dont know how to program this!
I have looked in the Operation Manual, and all it has is the roman numeral 2 (II) next to it says "switching code for 2nd car operation" and "for regular remote transmitter only".
I look in the installation manual and nothing about 2nd car operation is mentioned at all.
Help! Autopage RS 655 2nd car operation -- posted image.
here are the manuals

You have to program the 2nd car to learn the remote, refer to the INSTALL manual for that. You can email support at autopageusa.com and they will email you a manual if you dont have one.
The following is for an 855, yours may be different.
PROGRAMMING TRANSMITTER:
Note: This mode will only retain the last 4 remote transmitters programmed. If the
transmitter memory is exceeded, the security system will start deleting transmitters
from memory in chronological order.
1. Turn the Ignition 'switch ‘OFF/ON’ 3 TIMES and stay in ON position.
“Within 15 seconds”.
2. Push the Valet switch 2 times and hold it until a long chirp is heard then release the
valet switch. You are now in the Transmitter programming mode.
3. Press and hold any button of the transmitter until the siren responds with a
confirming chirp, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.
4. If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step
3 for each transmitter.
Exit: Turn Ignition to 'OFF' position, or leave it for 15 seconds. 3 long chirps & 3 parking
light flashes will confirm exit.

I just noticed you posted the link to the 855 install manual.
Its on page 18:
PROGRAMMING:
Note: This system can keep up to 4 remote transmitters in its memory. If
more than 4 transmitters programmed, the system will keep only the last 4
transmitters.
PROGRAMMING THE REMOTE TRANSMITTER
Enter:
1. Turn the Ignition ‘switch ‘OFF/ON’ 3 TIMES and stay in ON
position. Within 15 seconds.
2. Push the Valet switch 2 times. (Holding in on the 2nd push) until you
hear a long chirp. The transmitter is ready to program.
Program:
1. Press any button on
the transmitter until the siren responds with a
confirming chirp the first transmitter is now programmed.
2. Press button on the second transmitter until the siren responds with a
confirming chirp, the second transmitter is now programmed.
3. Apply the same procedure to program 3rd and 4th.
Exit: Turn Ignition to ‘OFF’ position, or leave it for 15 seconds. A 3 long
chirps & 3 parking light flashes to confirm exit.

Yes, I see how to program two remotes to one car.  But what I want to do is program 2 cars to one remote.  Wtih the method you described, each remote will only operate the one car.

The web site says it can control 2 cars with one remote, but im skeptical becuase neither of the manuals says anything about it.

Anybody familiar with this?

Ok, I got a response. I just wanted to post this in case anyone in the future has the same issue.
From autopage..
To program the transmitters to the vehicle follow the programming guide and before you push the button on the transmitter depress the II button and then any button on the transmitter. The following is to be done on 1st car transmitter to 2nd car unit.
Easy!
