allright here's the question i have..i currently have the compustar alarm model #1WAM-AS.
It is just the alarm with no remote start on it...im looking to upgrade to the model#2WSS-AS with the remote start on it, now i hear that all the compustar alarms use the same brain, just different antenna's for the 2 way's and all that...now if i get the 2WSS-AS alarm, can i just plug the new antenna into the brain and it will still work the same...?

do you have the 1wamA or AS?

There are 3 brains, A, S, AS

It is just an antenna swap and remote for upgrades.

sorry my bad, it is the model 1WAM-A
and i'm looking to purchase the 2WSS-AS
my current one does not have remote start, and the one im looking at does...so does that mean a full rewire of alarm since the brain i have is A and the new one is AS? or can i unplug the cables out of my current brain and just plug them into the new one? thanks :)

It means a 90% rewire as most of the wires are going to be different or have other wires added.
