Putting in a remote start and didn't connect the second starter wire and the car started up just fine. No check engine lights or anything. Is this allright. I'm going to connect it anyways cause the relay is already in there just wondering for future reference.

I believe the second starter wire is required when the vehicle is cold. I may be wrong, but without it I believe you will have issues.

you will more than likely have problems starting the car when it is cold if you sdon't hook up the second start wire

use a 6 amp diode to isolate the starter wires. the second wire is called a cold start injector wire ...it primes the motor when cold.

Yes, you will need to connect the second starter wire for remote starting the vehicle in the cold. It is not an issue in warm temperture, but is a problem when the temperture drops below freezing. As noted by other poster here, it is a cold start wire that primes the motor during colder temperature start.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.2005 Pathfinder 2nd starter needed? -- posted image.
