I was reading some info regarding valet switches.  My alarm system on 2003 CRV has apparently gone into valet mode.  I tried to take it out by using the instructions in the SecuritySystem handbook, but it did not work.  I called Honda and was told that there is a valet switch located near the floor board, but behind the driver side steering column, and to push this button and insert key.  That would all be just fine, but I cannot locate this button/switch anywhere.  The alarm system was not included on the vehicle at time of purchas but was added and  installed by Honda.  Since it was not factory installed, but was done by Honda, do you think my valet switch is located somewhere different.  OR can someone tell me just exactly what and where I should be looking.   Thanks.

The CPU for the alarm system is bolted at the driver's kick panel. It's a BLACK box with a GREEN connector plugged into the bottom of it.

Thanks to all that replied, I really appreciate it.  I believe I have found the black box, on the driver side near the kick panel.  However, I cannot find any type of buttom or switch.  I cannot get underneath to actually see what model it is.  Regardless of the model, am I looking for a button or a switch?  I was told to push the button in, insert key in ignition, then release the button.
