I am trying to install a Viper 791xv in a 2005 Scion TC.  It has been more that four years since I installed a remote start.  I am kinda rusty.  What is the correct way of wiring a relay for the second starter?  Should I just ground the neutral switch wire and not use the switch at all?  What transponder should I used for bypass?  Anything I should know about the vehicle before I start?  Thanks in Advance!!

Scion TC 2005. It really depends on what system you are installing, the DEI pieces I use have a ribbon cable that runs from the brain to an external relay pack in that cable is a purple - starter trigger. I use that wire for any car that requires a second starter wired like:
85 = - Second starter output from system
86, 30 = +12V constant fused
87 = +12V Out to second starter in vehicle.
Your vehicle has a second ignition that needs to be energized.
You will need to use a key-in-a-box type of transponder bypass.
Grounding the neutral safety switch wire is up to you. I do use this wire with the toggle switch, so that when they take the vehicle in for service, they can disable the system via that switch.
Hope this helps, Good Luck.
Keep us posted.

Using the XCR pack on that system takes away the need to tap into the ribbon cable. On the out side of the XCR pack, there is a purple wire that is specifically for a second starter output, use that one.
