driver and passenger door open signal?

So i cannot use the domelights. I need to use actual door triggers

I am desperatly trying to find both door open signals, which are not linked to the domelight - they must be somewhere as the instrument cluster shows when a door is open. would the signal be possitive or negative?any help would be greatly appreciated

That is the domelight wire that he is already using. I have never seen a listing for the true door trigger wires on a recent BMW. It may be a data signal, which you won't be able to tap into. You may have to use a timer that interupts the door trigger input for a period of time after the ignition shuts off. Had to do that a few years ago on alarm/remote start units when Ford and GM started having there vehicles turn the domelight on when the domelight shuts off. Now most alarms have the timer built in. With a manual transmission remote start, the issue is harder to work around while still maintaining the safety features of a manual remote start. I'm surprised you didn't get any help at the BMW forum. Usually there will be some people at vehicle-specific forums that know those kind of things.
