I have a Clifford Matrix RS3 installed in my '03 Toyota Matrix XRS and my Responder remote stopped working. It receives the signal when the car is armed by another remote, but it cannot transmit.  I have since bought 2 Python 479 remotes on Ebay, and one works fine while the other one can transmit but not receive. I opened both of the remotes and swapped the antenna board portion and it works fine. Can anyone tell me where i can get a replacement board, or have a schematic of  it? I still have the old board that I can pull parts off of. BTW Python and Viper boards are slightly different.

I've read the posts and I think a lot of people are having this same problem, I think mine went bad when I got a static shock from my car. Tried to upload pics of the internals but file was too large.

viper have two diff versions of remote. 1st one do not have single button programming (locate on the back), 2nd version do have it along w/ rsx3.5(might be wrong w/ this one) and python 881xp.
ofcourse the second version is a lot better, the soldering method do not carry on like the viper 790xv or clifford rs3

Funny you mention soldering, because I decided to touch up all the solder on the Viper remote board, and it worked! I Know for a fact the Clifford RS3's remote had a lot of cold solders in the connecting pin areas. If only I can fix the Python's. Some may think it's a waste of time to repair, but considering these remotes are over CAD$100 at Future Shop.
