91 infiniti m30 coupe. raton1 alarm: instructions say to wrap purple wire 2 to 5 times around high voltage ignition wire.  car starts ok, but only stayed on one time out of about 30 starts. do i strip the purple wire before i wrap it around the ignition wire, or do i leave it insulated? can i connect this purple wire to the tach wire and get the car to remain started?

Do the instructions tell you that it can be hooked to the tachometer feed? Does it offer a way for the system to learn the tachometer via a programming method?
I have done a couple of off branded systems that actually tell you to wrap a wire around a spark plug wire where it picks up the voltage fluxuations inductively.
Hope this helps

the trouble shoot directions say the high ignition or the 'oil lamp' wire.  no programming info or to use tach wire. the car has stayed on 3 times now. but it has to try 3 times before it does.  this is a easy car to start with the key and i'm worried because each time the remote starter activates, it spins the starter faster and longer.  what voltage does this wire have to read, because the more i wrap around, the more voltage it reads.  and do i have to strip the wire bare before wrapping.

the alarm is an inwells 9292s. any idea how many volts the start sensor wire is looking for? i've gotten 2 to 17 volts ac depending on how many times i've wrapped the sensor wire around induction wire. but car still shuts down.

I just went to their site, and i don't see anything that mentions a remote start feature with that model.Secondly,it doesn't look like a good brand alarm..I think you may want to purchase a better system from a reputable company..

yeah, i got it off ebay for $45. the box it comes in doesn't advertise remote start either, but it has the feature.  i'm satisfied with the paging alert and everything else.  just thought i could eat my cake too. thanks. which site did you find for them?
