I diconnected the battery when in staliing a new head unit in my car and now my remote start/ keyless entry system (BOA265B) does not work.  the manual said that after the battery is diconnected you must reset the remote before you start the car again and i didnt know that.  is there any way to reset the remote???

What exactly does it say in the manual? Is it saying to reset the brain or relearn the transmitters to the system?

DEI is not listing the 265, but the 165B lists that to program a transmitter you have to:

1. Disconnect battery

2. Reconnect battery

3. Turn ignition on

4. Press "Prog" button on remote

If this is not done during the first ignition on sequence immediately after the battery is reconnected the system will not learn the transmitter.  I apologize, but I do not have a manual for the 265B so this post may have been for nothing.

Let us know if this works.
