Hi everyone, I have a 507T that I installed in my 96 civic and it has never been a problem. I've been able to trigger it with the motion and tilting and I've never had a false alarm from it. I installed it on a ~35° inclined piece of wood because the instructions said to not mount it level. Well today when I parked in our ~45° inclined driveway I got multiple falses before having to switch the valet on. I'm thinking the incline might have been too severe with the combination of the driveway and mounting.
So my question is, is it really that important to install the module on an incline? Could I mount it level or will that be bad?

507T is the tilt sensor, correct?

I installed mine level, I thought that's what the instructions mentioned...

Have you had any troubles with it? What do you have the settings at? I believe I put mine on the most sensitive. I have stiff suspension so there isn't much play to get a false alarm.
"Mounting the Control Module:
The sensor control module must be mounted at an angle no greater than 45 degrees, with the respect to the horizontal plane of the vehicle, and it must be mounted with the case top facing upwards. We recommend mounting the control module to the floor of the vehicle. To mount the control module, fasten the unit with either Velcro or screws to secure it in place."
Now that I read it again, I don't think they want it angled. It's just that if it has to be at an incline then it shouldn't be more than 45°.

That's how I understood it as well.
