I am going to install the remote starter on camry 2005. This car already has the factory keyless unit installed. The remote starter also come with the keyless function. Does anyone know the remote starter and the factory keyless will interfere each other after installation?  And if so, how to avoid the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, The Car is 2005 Toyota Camry SE. The Remote Starter is Black widow ras-200 remote starter. The reason I ask this question is I installed this remote starter in the 2002 Toyota Corrolla before, just connected starter's lock and unlock leads to the car's lock/unlock wires, anything worked fine, but after one day, the car's engine check light came up. I am not sure if the circuits of starter and the car conflicted and caused the problem.

Hi everybody, today I installed the remote start on the 2005 toyota camry le.  when I double checked , I found out This car only has power door lock, no factory keyless. and the remote model is black widow ras 400(I checked on the black widow web site).  the car can remote started, but I experienced some problem with the keyless entry as follow:

First, I understand this car's unlock requires double pulse, so I programmed the unit to double pulse for the unlock(follow the program feature instruction).second,  according to the wiring diagram, I attached the lock/unlock leads to the car's lock/unlock wire(blue / YELLOW, blue. at drivers kick panel). but the transmitter can control the driver side door only, not the passenger's nor rear doors. I am not sure if this is the way the car supposed to be operated. furthermore,  the power door lock switch sometimes lost control , when I pust this switch, no door response. I either manually open the door, or push the transmitter's unlock button to make it work again. It seems something wrong.

How did you attach the wires from remote start to power door lock wires? Try looking for a blue/white wire in the top plug of body control module ( right under fuse block). It is metered off pass. door unlock and only requires single pulse.  Make sure you have a good body ground for the remote start, scrape off the paint and attach securely. If this does not help, in the relay section it will show you how to wire up 2 relays to trigger the power door locks. sometimes the ground pulse is not strong enough directly off the remote start and you must add relays to get a good ground pulse. Lastly the switch on the door panel shoud always work every time, you'll want to address this first becaue if the swtch is working intermitently than the keyless function off the remote start will definetly be working intermitent.

Thank you, xtremej. It work now. This is my story. yesterday, I programmed the remote features again  for the unlock pulse feature.  First I set it double pulse, and tried to control the car's unlock function, It didn't work, only the driver side lock/unlock reacted with the transmitter. And then I set the feature  to single pulse, It didn't work either. At that time, I thought It wasn't the feature problem, So I set the feature back to double pulse again. and then went outside to try the remote starter, after the car remote started, I came back to the car and press the transmitter's unlock button, To my surprise, the car's all doors driver side and passenger and rear doors reacted and unlock. and then I tried several tiems, It worked. I recalled all I did above, It probably that was the timing to be the problem when I programmed the feature. Because I didn't know if I really setup the feature  after I follow the user manual instruction ( turn the car key to ignition, wait for 2 second , pressed the program switch 5 times,  wait for 2 seconds, pressed the switch 4 time, and then press the transmitter's button #2 for double pulse, and the #1 for single pulse).

Actually, Before what I did above, I checked what you recommend for the blue/white wire in the top plug of body control module, But to my car, because it only have one key cylinder at the driver side door, passenger side has no key cylinder(could not use key to test). I tested blue/white wire, It only respond to the key turning , not the power switch in the car, So, I presume It maybe the same as the lock/unlock wire at the driver kick panel.

I am very appreciated your professional recommendation.
